about me

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.” - Roald Dahl

I’m primarily interested in fiction for older children but I have also written short stories, a short play script, text for a picture book, and co-written a pilot script for a TV sitcom which we are currently converting for radio. Writers who have inspired me include: David Mitchell, Philip Reeve, Jonathan Stroud, Neil Gaiman, Paul Abbott, Toby Whitehouse, Graham Lineham and Charlie Higson. I work for Suffolk Libraries and have a degree in Zoology from the University of Liverpool. My favourite film is Ghostbusters. See News for more details.
